I am a bit of an internet addict, not that bad though.

My sink is overflowing
with unwashed cups and plates
dust covers all the surfaces
the bathroom is a state.

I only went on facebook
to take a little peek
somehow time just disappeared
and now it’s been a week

I daren’t phone sick again
must run and catch my bus
one quick look before I go
the boss won’t make a fuss

Mary’s status can’t be true
I have to talk to Fay
one more photo to upload
and I’ll be on my way

Yes Miss Clark you understand
I’m still not very well.
tomorrow if I’m better
What? Fired? – Oh go to hell

Stunned I put the phone down
still, jobless gives me time
for cups of tea and biscuits
and endless hours online
